Snowbirds Ice Hockey: Retirees Keep Up On The Ice

During the height of snowbird season (November through March), dozens of retirees from across the U.S., Canada and even Europe get together three times a week to play ice hockey in Fort Myers, Florida. The Snowbird Hockey Club consists of retired teachers and business owners, former NHL and college players, people who've been skating since they could walk and some who didn't start playig hockey until much later in life.
