AARP was chartered on July 1, 1958, and has big plans to celebrate its 50th. You’re invited to join the fun.
Culminating a yearlong slate of coast-to-coast festivities, the party will move to Washington for the Life@50+ National Event & Expo, Sept. 4-6.
The event will feature concerts by Paul Simon, Chicago, Natalie Cole and Chaka Khan and talks by Maya Angelou, Quincy Jones, Shirley MacLaine, Martina Navratilova, Regis Philbin and Cal Ripken Jr., among others. You can also go to AARP University to learn more about world travel, online dating, retiring abroad and how to reduce medical costs and protect your credit.
AARP was founded by Ethel Percy Andrus, a visionary educator and California’s first female high school principal.
Tickets start at $20 for members, $30 for nonmembers. For details or to register, go to www.aarp.org/events or call 1-800-883-2784.
