Realities of Retraining

In Mount Clemens, a Detroit suburb, Dennis Lewis, a veteran auto mechanic and tradesman who never used a computer, is now learning how to write software that drives precision cutting tools.

Lewis is part of a Fast Track program at Macomb Community College that teaches computer numeric controller (CNC) skills to laid-off workers, another training initiative in partnership with No Worker Left Behind.
