Senior services levy, liquor options on ballot

Source: The Blade | November 2, 2009

Voters also will decide 13 liquor options throughout the county.

The senior services levy will appear as Issue 4. It would replace the current five-year, 0.45-mill levy that expires at the end of the year.

If approved, it would cost the owner of a $100,000 home $13.78.

The revenue generated would continue to fund services for persons with dementia, meals for the elderly and the house-bound, medical transportation and home modifications, support for senior centers, and home-care services.
