BRIEF Thief steals back-to-school clothes and mother's Social Security check

Sep. 6, 2008 (McClatchy-Tribune Regional News delivered by Newstex) -- A Koons Avenue mother reported that someone broke into her home Friday afternoon and stole all of her child's back-to-school clothes and her Social Security checks, police said.

The victim said that the burglary took place at 4 p.m.

Taken during the theft was $350 worth of school clothes for her child and two Social Security checks from her mail.
