BRIEF: N.D. author pens new book about ranch life near Medora

Source: Grand Forks Herald | November 1, 2009

"What Happened to the Deer?" was the first book in the Peanut Butter Club Mystery Series. In "Who Jinxed the C&G Ranch," Abby and Josh take their four grandchildren and two friends to a ranch north of Medora in the North Dakota Badlands to help Aunt Gracie and Uncle Clyde. Little do they know a summer adventure awaits, a news release said.

Erickson will sign her books at the Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase Nov. 7-8 at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. In addition to the Peanut Butter Club mysteries, she has written three children's picture books in the Grandma Mary and Bonbon Series; a nonfiction book about caring for elderly parents, "Common Sense Caregiving"; and a novel of short stories, cooking tips, recipes, and gardening hints called "Humble and Homemade: Survival in Tough Times."

"Geezettes" is a funny, folksy, thought-provoking novel about seven retired women. The books are available at UND Bookstore and at www.drmarysbooks.com/.
