Nov. 7, 2009 (McClatchy-Tribune Regional News delivered by Newstex) -- A professional health care organization recently recognized a WilMed Healthcare administrator for her contribution to the chapter and her profession.
Denise O'Hara, vice president of Human Resources at WilMed Healthcare, received the 2009 Outstanding Chapter Officer Award from the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration. The award was presented at the 45th annual conference and exposition in Chicago on Sunday. The award recognizes a chapter leader's contribution within their chapter, with the national ASHHRA and within the human resource profession.
O'Hara has served as the vice president of Human Resources at WilMed Healthcare since June 2008. She began her career at Wilson Medical Center, where she worked as a benefits and compensation supervisor from 1986 to 1996. She has also served as Human Resources director at WakeMed Health and Hospitals and at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She and her husband, Bobby, live in Wilson.
