— Clark County Treasurer Janet Hurst is reminding residents that their annual tax bills will be due next week. The bills, due Tuesday, are the payments for tax year 2008-09.
If the property taxes are not received on time, a penalty will be added to the total amount. A 5 percent penalty will be added to tax bills that are past due, but paid within 30 days of the due date. An additional 5 percent penalty — a total of 10 percent — will be added to tax bills if it is not paid within the 30 days beyond the due date.
If you did not receive a tax statement, contact the treasurer’s office at 812-285-6205.
