Bacchus Bar and Grill, 119 E. Second St., features live bands Fridays and Saturdays. Hours at the bar are from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Karaoke is on Tuesday nights; Ladies Night, Wednesdays; Thursdays, open mike; and live bands on weekends.

Boiler Room Bar, Cigar Factory Complex, 1100 Walnut St., features bands or DJ on Friday and Saturday nights. Beer pong and DJ on Mondays; open mike with Andy Brasher every Tuesday; karaoke with Songbird Wednesday nights; DJ on Thursdays. No cover charge.

Big Ed's Pool and Pub, 2210 W. Second St., regularly features APA 8-ball pool league Mondays; Songbird karaoke Monday, Thursday and Friday; free pool lessons Tuesdays; bike night and ladies night with Steve and Cindy Jammin' on Tuesday nights; APA 9-ball league and open mike with Roy Kyle on Wednesday nights ("Bring Your Voice and Your Own Instrument"); 9-ball pool tournament Saturdays; and live music by bands on Saturday nights.

Charley's Yellow Rose Country Nightclub features Charley Mattingly and the Rebel Creek Band playing from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Cover is $3 after 9 p.m. Friday and 7 p.m. Saturday. Friday night is Ladies Night.

Creme Coffee House, 109 East Second St., features charity night every first Tuesday of the month with drink specials. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Dallas Room, 1308 Triplett St., features Ramone and Loiz performing a mix of Cajun, country and old rock on Tuesdays from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and J.R. and Linda performing music from the 1950s and '60s plus country from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursdays. AMVETS Post 75, 2600 W. Second St., features shuffleboard Wednesdays and Fridays at 7 p.m. Also nine-ball pool tournament every Saturday at 8 p.m.

AMVETS Post 119, 1400-A Triplett St., features darts at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of the month. Shuffleboard is at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month. Entertainment by "Back in Time." is at 8 p.m. Saturdays. Motown and R&B with a mix of dance music and karaoke. No charge for members, $3 cover for guests.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 696, 311 W. Veterans Blvd., features karaoke on Friday nights from 8 to midnight and a dance every Saturday from 8 p.m. to midnight. Cover charge for the dance is $4. Members and guests invited.

Hunter's Ridge Restaurant and Dance Hall, 11751 U.S. 231, Pleasant Ridge, features a dance and live bands from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturdays and karaoke with Roy Kyle on Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. The restaurant is open from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and from 5 a.m. to midnight Saturday.

Diamond Lanes Midtown, 1901 Triplett St., has Thunder Alley Experience featuring concertlike sound and high-tech lighting beginning at 9:30 p.m. Fridays and 9 p.m. Saturdays.

HD Shakers Saloon, 414 W. Second St., is open Monday through Saturday, featuring big-screen television, pool, jukebox and patio.

Millay's Tavern, Knottsville, opens at 8:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday, featuring big-screen television, pool, pinball machine, jukebox and patio.

Our Place Bar, 718 W. Ninth St., is open from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday, featuring pool tables, video games and jukebox. APA pool leagues are on Monday and Wednesday. Ladies night is Tuesday. Jack and Jill pool tournament is at 7 p.m. Tuesdays; 8-ball and 9-ball pool tournaments start at 3:30 p.m. Saturdays. No cover charge.

Roca Bar, 3030 Highland Pointe off Kentucky 54, features 20 arcade games, 30 plasma television screens and free Wi-Fi. Also Keith Vincent plays your favorite music on the patio at 5 p.m. Sundays, and Shawn Brashear performs in the sports bar at 8 p.m. Mondays. Wednesday is Bike Night with Wildman playing outside beginning at 6 p.m.

Arts

Celebrate Kentucky Here exhibit is displayed by the Owensboro Art Guild at the Daviess County courthouse.

Kentucky Rooti Patooti's Art Gallery, 2284 Kentucky 973, Rosewood, three miles from the entrance to Lake Malone State Park, is featuring art by regional soft pastel artist Lucinda Humphrey Scharf. Admission free.

Museums

Owensboro Museum of Fine Art, 901 Frederica St., is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free. Donations accepted $2 for adults, $1 for children under 13 years.

Owensboro Area Museum of Science and History, 122 E. Second St., is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays; from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. For more information, call 687-2732. The museum admission is $3 per person; children 2 years and under admitted free. Museum members are admitted free.

International Bluegrass Music Museum, 117 Daviess St., Owensboro, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Also from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Admission is $5 for adults; $2 for students. Members and children 6 and under admitted free. The museum is closed Mondays.

Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, Lincoln City, Ind., is open seven days a week year-round. Admission to the park is $3 per person for ages 17 and over, with a maximum charge of $5 per family.

The Duncan Center Museum and Art Gallery, 122 S. Cherry Street., Greenville, is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or any time by appointment. A Muhlenberg military exhibit is on display through Nov. 12. The museum and gallery also offers art classes in the evenings and is available for rental. Please call 338-2605 for more information.

Ohio County Historical Museum, 415 Mulberry St., Hartford, is open Thursdays and Fridays from 1 to 4 p.m. and other times by appointment. Call 298-3749. The complex consists of the Thomas historical home, a rustic relics building, CSX caboose, Goshen one-room school, Autry country store, Park log cabin and veterans museum. Historical books, bonnets and aprons are available. Admission $2 for adults and 50 cents for children.

The Hancock County Museum, 110 River St., Hawesville is open from 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays. Located in the old L&N Depot, exhibits include Hancock County artifacts, courthouse scene, steamboat room, one-room school, military exhibits and a caboose. No admission charge; donations accepted.

The Ohio County Veterans Museum, 415 Mulberry St., Hartford, is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays or can be visited during regular hours of the Ohio County Historical Museum. No admission charge; donations accepted. For information, call 298-3749 or 298-7202.

McLean County History and Genealogy Museum, 540 Main St., Calhoun, is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Friday. The museum includes a library, computer room, family histories and genealogies, and American war exhibits.
