Celebrate Kentucky Here exhibit is displayed by the Owensboro Art Guild at the Daviess County courthouse.
Kentucky Rooti Patooti's Art Gallery, 2284 Kentucky 973, Rosewood, three miles from the entrance to Lake Malone State Park, is featuring art by regional soft pastel artist Lucinda Humphrey Scharf. Admission free.
Museums
Owensboro Museum of Fine Art, 901 Frederica St., is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free. Donations accepted $2 for adults, $1 for children under 13 years.
Owensboro Area Museum of Science and History, 122 E. Second St., is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays; from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. For more information, call 687-2732. The museum admission is $3 per person; children 2 years and under admitted free. Museum members are admitted free.
International Bluegrass Music Museum, 117 Daviess St., Owensboro, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Also from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Admission is $5 for adults; $2 for students. Members and children 6 and under admitted free. The museum is closed Mondays.
Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, Lincoln City, Ind., is open seven days a week year-round. Admission to the park is $3 per person for ages 17 and over, with a maximum charge of $5 per family.
The Duncan Center Museum and Art Gallery, 122 S. Cherry Street., Greenville, is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or any time by appointment. A Muhlenberg military exhibit is on display through Nov. 12. The museum and gallery also offers art classes in the evenings and is available for rental. Please call 338-2605 for more information.
Ohio County Historical Museum, 415 Mulberry St., Hartford, is open Thursdays and Fridays from 1 to 4 p.m. and other times by appointment. Call 298-3749. The complex consists of the Thomas historical home, a rustic relics building, CSX caboose, Goshen one-room school, Autry country store, Park log cabin and veterans museum. Historical books, bonnets and aprons are available. Admission $2 for adults and 50 cents for children.
The Hancock County Museum, 110 River St., Hawesville is open from 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays. Located in the old L&N Depot, exhibits include Hancock County artifacts, courthouse scene, steamboat room, one-room school, military exhibits and a caboose. No admission charge; donations accepted.
The Ohio County Veterans Museum, 415 Mulberry St., Hartford, is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays or can be visited during regular hours of the Ohio County Historical Museum. No admission charge; donations accepted. For information, call 298-3749 or 298-7202.
McLean County History and Genealogy Museum, 540 Main St., Calhoun, is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Friday. The museum includes a library, computer room, family histories and genealogies, and American war exhibits.
